What’s the difference between django-multisite and the Sites framework ?
If I were to create a multi-domain sites on a single Django application, then why would one need both ?

Although this is not the answer you’re looking for, you may consider the need to add this library by another reason:
The last pypi update was 2 years ago.
The last github release was on 2018.
