"Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share that I’ve submitted my GSoC 2026 proposal for **‘Add types to parts of Django** (Architectural Type Stubs and ORM Precision) **’**.

I am **Nikhil Mishra, 2nd-year B.Tech CSE student at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Lucknow**. Having recently had my **PR** #3227 **merged ([Update HttpRequest path methods to match Django 5.x defaults by 01xnikhil · Pull Request #3227 · typeddjango/django-stubs · GitHub](https://github.com/typeddjango/django-stubs/pull/3227)**) in `django-stubs`, I’ve gained a solid understanding of the architectural challenges in typing the ORM. I am currently working on the feedback from that PR and am eager to dive deeper into the Manager/QuerySet stubs as outlined in my 12-week roadmap.

Looking forward to contributing more to the ecosystem!

Best regards,

Nikhil Mishra
