# Tags showing in email

Sending an email and the html tag for the URL is showing.

Are you sending a text email or an html email?

If you’re trying to send html email, see the [`html_message`](https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/4.2/topics/email/#send-mail) parameter in the `send_mail` method.
