I know it has been a while, but in May we released the ALPHA of the latest edition of our book, Two Scoops of Django 3.x. This is full of years of tricks and tips for anyone who is past tutorials and in the intermediate-to-advanced skill level with Django.

And it’s also full of guidelines for making architectural decisions about how your project can/should be structured.
(<opinion>It’s not that you necessarily want to always and only make the same decisions as what’s described in the book - but it’s always better to make an informed decision for your particular situation, and understand why you want to make that decision, than to just fall into a pattern by default.</opinion>)
