Hi Django community!

My name is Ramini.Tharun, and I’m an MCA student from Hyderabad, India. I have hands-on experience with Python, Django, React.js, MySQL, and NLP-based web applications.

I’m interested in applying for GSoC 2026 with Django and I’ve chosen the project: “Add ergonomic control over behaviour of missing variables in templates”

I find this project genuinely impactful because silent template failures are a real pain point for every Django developer. I want to add explicit syntax (like required/optional variable markers) so developers get proper control over this behaviour.
