Hi Django Community,
I’m Gilchrist Pereira, a Graduate of BSc - Computer Science (Honors).
I am passionate about open-source development. I want to gain some experience in solving real-world problems and apply my skills in web development I currently have experience in
HTML,CSS, AL / ML and currently learning JS.
While I haven’t worked much with Django yet, I have a keen interest in working with Django to contribute to open source thus improving my skills in full-stack development. I hope to be a GSoC contributor as it can give me an incredible opportunity for me to contribute to impactful projects. Getting into GSoC will not only help me leverage my existing skills but also push me to achieve a new level of proficiency in open-source development.
I would love to get started with contributions and would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to begin—whether it’s resources, beginner-friendly issues, or best practices for first-time contributors.
Looking forward to your advice and the opportunity to collaborate with the Django community!
Best regards,
Gilchrist Pereira
