Honestly I think most of the website is absolutely fine, the docs are great, and the web design is still pretty good IMHO. I like it.
One thing I would maybe push a bit more is making the homepage more marketing-focused and perhaps show corporate sponsors on the homepage to both 1) encourage sponsorship 2) show that Django is widely used.
