Help with Defining Timeline and Milestones for GSoC 2025 Proposal

Hello,

I am preparing to submit a proposal for GSoC 2025, and I want to make it as strong as possible. One of the things I’m struggling with is how to define the required time and milestones effectively. Since I haven’t started building my idea yet, I’m unsure about the challenges I might face along the way.

How can I estimate the time needed for each phase and structure a realistic timeline? Any advice or examples from past experiences would be greatly appreciated!
