landed here while reviewing #37020 (Adjust release instructions to stop editing *.po files fetched from Transifex) – Django and wanted to check the current discussions around migrating Transifex to Weblate.
From what I understand this is currently blocked by hosting and then blocked by resource.
On hosting, I noticed that Michal Čihař[1] from Weblate (which is made using Django) is an active ticket reporter and engages with Django’s development quite regularly (last made a ticket 5 months ago). Perhaps he is a good person for the DSF to reach out to around hosting and Weblate being an In-kind donor to Django. I can probably track down an email to contact him. @jeff would you be able to add this to the DSF board meeting minutes to assign an owner from the board on this?
On resources, I think we can find the time somehow. I thought this would be a reasonable GSoC project but I missed the deadline for this.
