New contributor looking for an "Easy picking" task

Hi everyone,

I’m Thibault, a student at Telecom Paris (Trac: Thibault-F-TP). For a school project, I have been looking at Trac for “easy picking” tickets. I couldn’t find anything that fitted my expectations. All of them were already done and were waiting to be merged (like #36629 (In the admin m2m widget filter_vertical, the “choose all” button is missing.) – Django) or were stuck in a dead end (like #32723 (Add a GitHub action to run the Sphinx linkcheck builder.) – Django).

Is there any small cleanup, documentation task, or a “stalled” issue you’ve heard about that would be suitable for a first-time contributor? I’m eager to help and learn the workflow.

Unfortunately, there is no established or formalized process to identify or manage “easy picking” tickets.

We do recommend that everyone gets started by reading:
