I am applying for GSoc 2025 with the “Django Admin: Add Command Palette” project. I just drafted my proposal and would appreciate any feedback from the community on further improvements before submitting it.

I think as a draft it’s quite good. What I might like to see in the final proposal is a bit more around ideas for implementation. For example, you mention user registration of shortcuts, this is a good idea, but how would it work if not only JS is required, but also HTML and maybe some Python code? What is the rough idea for the model object search, in terms of the backend implementation, but also the UX? These types of questions will help understand who has really looked into the problem.
I think you might also struggle a bit if you leave writing the tests until last rather than doing it alongside the work.
