Hi Django Community and Mentors,
I am Richa Singh, a 3rd-year Full-Stack developer from SRM Institute of Science and Technology. I am officially submitting my proposal for the “Improve the Developer Experience of the Django Admin” project, specifically focusing on implementing a keyboard-driven Command Palette.
Background & Skills:
I have experience in Python and the MERN stack. I am an active open-source contributor and recently successfully contributed a fix to Sugarizer (Sugar Labs) for a critical JSON parsing bug in the core logic.
Proposed Goal:
I plan to bring a modern “Ctrl+K” navigation experience to the Django Admin using Vanilla JS for the frontend and a pluggable Python backend. I have already set up the Django development environment and passed the test suite locally.
I would appreciate any feedback or pointers from the community. Excited to contribute to Django!
